ABOUT
Josh Deane grew up in the farmlands of Ohio as the homeschooled son of church leaders. He escaped this life and now writes, plays music, makes films, and teaches middle-schoolers how to do the same. He has released nine albums, scored films and stage plays, self-published a book of poetry, and has written and directed multiple festival-worthy shorts--including episodes of the IFP selected Utilities Not Included. He has produced two features, is an editor on Hulu’s Algiers, America, and is among the quarterfinalists of the 2020 Nicholl Fellowship. You can see Josh live at his quarterly GC/DC show at Wonderville in Brooklyn, NY. Josh is currently banned from the “quiet little village” of Harrison, NY due to incurring the Mayor’s wrath in a parking dispute. His favorite pass time is watching monster movies with his children.
